We listen to The Cure's Pornography. Jon tells us about how he slapped an alien once. Loren and I decide that our indifference to aliens must keep us from seeing them.

Loren pulls off the highway to investigate what Jon swears is a UFO. It could be an airplane or a star.
Jon whimpers in the back seat, "This is fucking nuts, we're in the middle of Hicktown, Arizona, and we're going to get abducted by aliens."
Instead of aliens, a cop shows us to ask why we're out here. Even though we tell her we've stopped to examine some bright moving object in the sky, she lets us go.
