Dad had his angiogram yesterday. They found a bloodclot up near his heart, but fortunately they removed it. I don't want to speculate on what might've happened had Dad not gone to the hospital when he did. I suppose he'll be put on some anti-coagulants and it's most likely he'll be home tonight, barring any unforeseen problems that arise.
