My father is watching Step-by-Step and the whole episode revolves around Patrick Duffy and Susan Somer's characters trying to have sex, yet being interrupted by something every time they get close - with what I suspect is meant to be a comic effect. Why can't I laugh at things like this? Is it that it's just too predictable? Or are there couples all across America sitting in front of their tvs, slapping their knees and chortling "How true it is!!!"
